The Special Awards Committee will select the inductees.

The first inductees in 2011 will be all the existing ambassadors, up to five special historic nominees by the Special Awards Committee and up to five Nominees from the essays submitted.

Criteria: Must be/have been owned or ridden by ODS members in ODS Approved Dressage Shows. Must be at least 20 years old when nominated. May be nominated posthumously. All ambassadors regardless of age, previous and future will be automatically included. The first year up to 5 horses from the past will be selected. Up to 5 horses will be honored each year at the banquet beginning in 2011. They will be selected from nominees and the owners will receive a certificate.

To nominate a horse: a hard copy essay of up to 100 words must be submitted telling why this horse should be in the Hall of Fame. A 5x7 photo must accompany the essay. The essay and photo should be mailed to the ODS Office at 880 NE 25th Ave, Ste 2-173, Hillsboro, OR 97124.

The deadline is 10/1. Nominees not selected will automatically be considered the following year (one time) along with new nominations.
