ODS is organized into Regions and Chapters to provide opportunities for local promotion of educational activities and competitions locally as well as statewide activities.

SC-ODS serves the Medford, Grants Pass, Ashland area of Oregon.

SC-ODS 2012 Officers:

Chapter Mission:
The purpose of this chapter shall be to foster interest and participation in Dressage. Dressage is the gradual, harmonious development of the horse's physical and mental condition with the aim of improving its natural gaits and achieving a perfect understanding with its rider.  The programs of this chapter shall be educational and shall be designed primarily to offer a framework in which individuals can progress with the schooling of themselves and their horses.  Activities shall be directed toward a better understanding of Dressage.

Chapter Bylaws:
Some chapters have their own bylaws, if so, they will be linked here. Otherwise, chapters follow the current ODS bylaws, as posted here.

Annual Chapter Activities:

  • We put on various shows, league & licensed, as well as educational events.  Frequency of events is determined so that there is minimal conflict with activites scheduled on the ODS & USDF website calendars.  We also have a holiday party in December/January.

Meetings:
We currently meet the third Thursday of each month.   The meetings are open to all members and locations vary.  Depending on the number of business items to discuss when time permits there is a showing an educational video or a guest speaker.
