Letter Perfect Information Update

May 14th, 2008

Letter Perfect has posted on the website www.dovecreekonline.com a complete prize list. A list of entries received is also posted for confirmation of receipt of entry. Please check for the possibility of a lottery each week on Saturday.

The only substantial change from the Omnibus is in stabling. The Clark County Fairgrounds has changed their stabling policy. It is now PER DAY, not per night. This includes the day of arrival and the day of departure. For instance, if you arrive on Thursday and depart on Sunday, that is four days, not three. Entries will be charged for the change.

Ruth Arvanette Memorial Fund Grant - USDF Convention Funding

May 13th, 2008

Ruth Arvanette was a long-time USDF employee. Later in her life, she became an employee of The Dressage Foundation.  Until the time she passed away, Ruth was always a supporter of USDF. She was instrumental in many programs still in place today – such as the All-Breeds Awards. Ruth especially enjoyed the USDF Annual Convention and one of her main goals was to make attending the convention a reality for everyone, especially USDF group members. Ruth passed away March 21, 2000, after a battle with cancer. USDF has developed the Ruth Arvanette Memorial Fund to honor her. This grant enables group members to attend the annual convention by providing funds to cover the costs of attendance. Ruth hoped that group members attending convention might take home with them the information they gathered at convention and help their Group Member Organizations (GMO) through their new found knowledge. The USDF is pleased to continue Ruth’s dream and legacy through the Ruth Arvanette Memorial Fund.

Specifics
USDF will award three (3) such grants from the Ruth Arvanette Memorial Fund each year for the Adequan/USDF Annual Convention. The three grants will include: 1) reimbursement of up to $500 for airfare*; 2) USDF will pay for 1/2 of the lodging expense for each winner (5 nights maximum)*; and 3) complimentary USDF full convention registration. Full registration includes the convention and university sessions and does NOT include the awards banquet or Salute Gala. Total outlay per grant would be at most $700 (excluding the full convention registration.) *Reimbursement of funds will be provided by the USDF office upon submission of receipts no later than 60 days after the convention.

A completed application must be submitted to the USDF office by August 31st - download the application from the USDF website by clicking on this link.
