Dear ODS Members,
First of all, thank you to everyone who responded from our plea for volunteers a few days ago. The holes are getting smaller, and the major positions have all been covered! This show is going to be a blast – and filled with Oregon’s finest! Even if you are not able to volunteer, we encourage you to please come and watch – enjoy the scenery, meet up with friends and take in a bit of shopping in our vendor village!
Please remember – the cost of admission is simply a non-perishable food donation –OR- a suggested $5.00 cash contribution to the Oregon Food Bank. Siobhan Barker is coordinating this year’s effort. The immediate and ongoing food needs include nutritious, shelf-stable packaged foods such as canned vegetables, canned fruits, chili, macaroni and cheese, nonfat dry milk, peanut butter, pasta, oatmeal, nuts, and cooking oil. Please be generous!
We are now trying to fill these last open volunteer positions. Each of our volunteers will receive a nice thank you gift, and anyone who volunteers 4 hours or more will have their name entered into a drawing for a nice prize!
At this point, we encourage you to contact one of the following on their mobile phones as receiving e-mail is difficult while on the show grounds:
• Biagina Lazaroni, Volunteer Coordinator –541-915-4521
• Jennifer Milburn, Show Manger – 541-231-7247 (mobile)

11. After the show –
• Clean up crew – we need people to walk the grounds and help with all of the finishing details – removal of banners, putting away chairs, tables and picking up stuff that is left behind in vendor village, walking through the stabling area, packing up awards, packing up the ODS Merchandise tent, packing up the Volunteer booth and helping with final arrangements in the office.
• Additionally, we need someone with a pickup to return the pop-up tents, awards and volunteer stuff to the ODS storage unit in Hillsboro. There are bins and bins and boxes of stuff that need to be returned so a full size pickup or big van is a must! This could be arranged to occur Sunday evening or Monday.
Thank you in advance for your help!
