Amaroso – April, 2009 Swedish colt.  Stallion potential out of imported SPS Hanoverian mare (8.57 in her testing in Germany) and Amorex, Swedish Stallion.  Amaroso is a big bodied, chestnut with lots of chrome and lightening mane & tail (not flaxen, but very striking).  He has great Dressage or Combined Training potential.  His dam is on site.  $9500.

Sir Grayson – May, 2007 Dutch/Hanoverian/Oldenberg cross gelding.  Striking gray gelding by the amazing Sir Donnerhall (received the highest Dressage score in the history of licensing).  Out of a Dutch/Hanoverian mare; pedigree has both Dressage and Combined Training Champions.  His movement is what all Dressage riders dream about.  His trot takes my breath away.  $17,500.

Dear Oregon Dressage Society Members,

 

Be a part of the governance of ODS and vote for the candidate of your choice in our upcoming Director at Large and Regional Representative Elections.

 

As a part of Oregon Dressage Society’s ongoing Going Green Initiative, our board voted favorably to amend our policies/procedures to allow for elections to be conducted online.  As a cost savings measure, we have partnered with USDF and they are hosting our secure online election.

 

TO VOTE:

Starting today, when you log into your USDF online account, it will ask you which ODS Region you live in – North, Central, South or East. 

 

After you make your selection, the computer will automatically direct you to your ballot where you will vote for the candidate for Regional Representative of your Region as well as vote for ODS Directors at Large.

 

Voting will close on October 7^th and the winners will be announced at the ODS General Membership Meeting which will be held on October 24^th in Springfield, OR.

2010-09-23 LEXINGTON, KY—one day to go—The 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games have announced definite entries for the following disciplines: Dressage, Endurance and Reining.

Definite entries for the three disciplines can be viewed online at; http://www.alltechfeigames.com/content.aspx?id=5380.

The 2010 Games will begin September 25 with the Reining competition and Opening Ceremonies. Endurance will be held on September 26. The Dressage competition will begin September 27 and will end on October 1 with the sold-out Dressage Freestyle.

Definite entries for Driving, Eventing, Jumping, Para-Dressage and Vaulting will be available within the coming days.

This award was created in 2005 in honor of Lynn Lunde, former NFL football player and lifelong sportsman and is sponsored by Quailhurst. The purpose is to recognize an individual who, under adverse circumstances or situations, displays a positive and supportive outlook toward fellow competitors and show management. Michele Morseth, MA has been riding, training and showing her own horses since she was nine years old. Motivated to become a better dressage rider she studied under Jeff Haller, a renowned educator of the Feldenkrais Method® of body awareness and movement. Michele’s clinics are evolved from her love of riding and her training in horse and human movement, biomechanics, and communication. Realizing she had a gift to share—she began to help other riders feel the keen grace of moving in unity and communicating clearly with their horse.
