To all of our members who have already completed the survey, we truly appreciate the time and thought put into completing the survey.  The comments we have received are constructive and useful – thank you!

To anyone who has not yet completed the survey, we wanted to give you a reminder that the survey will close on 1/5/2011 so that we have time to review the survey results prior to our report to the ODS Board.  It has been the goal of the ODS Board to continue the efforts developed in the strategic plan to serve our membership as well as possible. USEF 2011 Rulebook Now Available Online

The 2011 USEF Rulebook is now available on our website at http://www.usef.org/_IFrames/Rulebook/2011.aspx. All rules shown in red became effective 12/1/10. The chapters are in searchable PDF format, which are easily printable if needed.

If you have a USB flash drive version of the rule book, please update it at least once a month. In addition to any possible new rules or corrections, the licensed officials’ roster is also available on the USB drive.

California is scheduled to stage two World Cup qualifying competitions for the 2011 Final that will enable 2009 championship pair Steffen Peters and Ravel to seek a place at the Final in Leipzig, Germany at the end of April.

December update from Twin Rivers Chapter

December 20th, 2010

This fall TRC hosted the Musical Freestyle clinic w/ Cynthia Collins of Lunatunes.  It was a very informative and fun event. In October  we were the host chapter for the Annual ODS Convention where we donated our halloween-theme silent auction basket.  On Saturday,  Dec 4 we will be having our annual holiday party and white elephant gift exchange.  In January we will be having an education night about equine acupuncture.

LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Dec. 19–Ravel, the 12-year-old KWPN gelding ridden by Steffen Peters to two individual bronze medals at the World Equestrian Games, has been named the 2010 Adequan/U.S. Dressage Federation Grand Prix Horse of the Year.
