Hearts and Horses Tons of Fun!

The numbers are in for the Hearts and Horses Fun show held on Feb. 13, and it was a huge success! There were over 45 riders in the variety of classes, all determined to have a good time. Some of the Very Little ones were at their first show and were stealing hearts left and right. The food sales were brisk, and the weather quite cooperative for Feb in Oregon, as the snow the next weekend reminded us all!  The break your heart bareback class was a crowd favorite, with  Cindy Sanders taking the top prize despite her pony’s best effort to buck her off. The jumping went smoothly and the games were tons of fun, even if Dad had to lead you through them! All in all, after the expenses were tallies the club made over $300 in profit. But more importantly than that, it was a fun activity for everyone in the community. This was well received enough that this may become an annual tradition for the club to put on. One suggestion at the meeting was for future profits to go into the HPHHP fund. A special thank you to all the volunteers who made this happen. Without Marilyn and Norma it would not have happened, but there were many more folks behind the scenes, so thank you to every one that helped. The club received a special thank you from the Brady family. Their girls Hannah and Nataly showed, and Nataly (3 years old) rode Buster (27) in their first show and had a great time.
