October 18 & 19 Opportunity to ride with Morten Thomsen in Washington

August 12th, 2010

Hello,

I’m excited to announce a clinic with the new US Team Coach, Morten Thomsen!

The clinic is October 18-19 at Cedar Meadow Farm (Pumpkin Farms alternate location). I rode with Morten in the USEF Elite Rider Clinic in San Diego in June, and he was great to ride with. Very engaged, positive, and very effective. All of the horses improved greatly in the lessons. This is an amazing opportunity to be one of the few places in the country that gets to host Morten, so I hope that the Northwest takes advantage of this  opportunity! I am accepting riders and auditors at this time. Auditors need to sign up in advance. Absolutely no auditors at the door.

Free “Energy Healing for Horses” class July 17

June 29th, 2010

You’ve heard of acupuncture and acupressure.  Come learn about the “next generation” technique for accelerating healing in this free 2-hour class. Often referred to as “acupuncture without needles,” Energy Healing is an effective tool for treating ailments and preventing illness that is easy to learn and easy to apply.  Learn a new skill that will help you discover your innate ability to accelerate your horse’s health and well being that is portable and can be used anytime, any place.

Liza Burney of Heart to Heart Healing, offers an in-depth Energy Healing for Horses on July 17 from 2-4 pm at the Beaverton Resource Center, 12500 SW Allen Blvd., Beaverton, OR 97005. This introductory class is designed for those who are interested in learning how to develop their own innate skills to assist the healing process for their horse.  This class provides participants with the tools to treat common first aid ailments such as cuts, scrapes and insect bites, help with athletic performance and recovery, and support the overall general well-being of their horse.

Pranic Healing is a no-touch healing technique that offers specific, tested, step-by-step procedures for treating ailments and preventing illness.  It complements Western medicine as well as other healing modalities.  Pranic Healing can help animals heal from physical ailments (both chronic and acute) as well as help in balancing the emotional and psychological aspects of an animal’s well being, which can help reduce stress and phobias.  Pranic Healing (for people) has now been taught and practiced in more than 85 countries, from the cancer hospitals in India to Kaiser Medical Center in Los Angeles and Portland.

“Prana” is a Sanskrit word that means “life-force.” It is the vital energy which keeps the body alive and healthy.  Pranic Healing teaches the basics of energy anatomy – students learn the basics of working with their animal’s energy aura, including learning to “scan,” or feel the energy, to “sweep,” or clean away congested energy, and to “energize,” or supplement areas in their aura that have a pranic deficiency. Students begin by learning to activate the energy centers, or “chakras,” in the center of their hands. This enables them to become sensitive to prana and scan an animal’s energy field to identify blockages and then cleanse, energize and revitalize the area with new prana.
For more information, our website is www.heart-to-heart-healing.com.  Please rsvp to  info@pnwpranichealing.com. Liza Burney, a volunteer with PNWPH, has been studying subtle energy for over ten years and specializes in treating animals.  Pranic Healing is respectful of all religions and philosophies.

ODS Biz Member Message: Triple Crown Feeds

June 22nd, 2010

FREE FORAGE AND FEED ANALYSIS

If you run an equine business than you know the importance of optimum nutrition. But have you ever taken the time to analyze the forage? Have you crunched the numbers to see just what nutrients are lacking or are in excess from your hay, grains and supplements? Have you considered feeding options that are more economical or that minimize the time spent feeding? Do you have horses with special needs?

If you feed 20 horses or more at your facility, Triple Crown Feeds is offering free forage and feed analysis of your nutrition program. Let an equine only nutrition specialist find out exactly what the strengths and weaknesses are in your forage and then make suggestions for the most nutritionally sound, yet economical feeding program. Sometimes simple adjustments can save pennies per day per horse which adds up to THOUSANDS of dollars per year in overall feed bills!

To take advantage of this ODS member opportunity, call or email Natalie at 406-599-7694 or Natalie.mcgowan@chsinc.com.

*Free service includes free travel to the facility and time spent analyzing forage and feed. Does not include cost of actual forage testing.

Hello ODS,

I’m hosting a clinic at my barn with piaffe/passage specialist Alfredo Hernandez and wanted to invite you to attend!

Alfredo Hernandez is a piaffe/passage specialist. He works with many of California’s top trainers, and he has been asked to clinic across the west, so we’re lucky to have him up here. He’s not taking any new clinics or students, so I’m really glad that he’s still willing to work with me up here. Here is a video link to him working with someone in a recent clinic in California: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGgScGFQ7jw

The clinic is May 18-19 at Cedar Meadow Farm in Snohomish, WA. The cost is $100 per ride, and the fee for auditing is $20 for both days.  Contact me for more information.

Thanks!
