The Central Oregon Chapter is hosting an ODS Adult Amateur Dressage Camp featuring Jeremy Steinberg and Shauntel Bryant as the clinicians August 18-21st.

The camp is a place for participants to get immersed in dressage without the daily activities at home.  Participants receive 4 private and 2 semi-private lessons. Everyone is encouraged to watch other riders to continue their education throughout the day. Dinner is provided Thursday during the welcome reception and there’s also a Saturday night BBQ with a lecture by the instructors. Cost is $480-(-That’s $80 per lesson-) and includes the two dinners plus snacks throughout the day.

This fun, educational event will take place a Future Street Farm in lovely Tumalo, Oregon, near Bend. Check out information and registration forms on www.centraloregondressage.com or contact Lisa Koch at 503-539-4717 or lisa.koch@xerox.com

Demo Rider applications being accepted for the COC “Dressage Thru The Levels” Symposium

January 24th, 2011

Central Oregon Chapter of ODS is hosting “Dressage Thru The Levels”  with Janet Foy and Lendon Gray June 18-19, 2011.  We are in need of demo riders in order to be able to offer this wonderful opportunity to the riders in our area.  We need 2 riders per level (training thru PSG).  What we need is a video of the horse/rider combo performing the highest test for the level they are applying for (for example, if you want to ride in training level, you need to submit Training Test 4 (from last year) or Test 3 from 2011 to be considered).

We need videos by Feb 15.  Yes, you can send in tapes from last year if that is what you have.  Please visit our website www.centraloregondressage.com and click on the symposium info to download a demo rider application form.  Thanks and we look forward to seeing lots of videos coming in!

Info on a 4 day adult amateur camp in Redmond, OR

June 28th, 2010

The COC and CCTA chapters are offering a four day adult camp (Adult amateurs only). Location will be at Future Street Farm, Bend, Oregon- August 12th-15th, 2010.

This year Michael Etherly and Nicki Grandia will be the camp instructors. The camp format is two private lessons with each instructor and one semi private with each, for a total of 6 lessons. Cost is $485 and includes all meals during the camp.

Adult camps are designed to be an intensive, fun, learning experience in a summer camp-like atmosphere for the committed adult rider at any level or experience. The purpose of the camp is to help adult riders “get away from it all” – the pressures of job, family and friends – so they can immerse themselves in dressage and greatly accelerate the learning process. Riders and horses are encouraged stay at the camp facility, getting a chance to make new friends and riding several times daily. Mounted and unmounted sessions expand the riders’ knowledge of dressage riding, showing, and theory.

This is filling quickly (only 12 riders can attend) so please register early!

Camp information and registration form can be found at: www.centraloregondressage.com under Events and Calendar.
