Volunteers needed for Awards Mailing on 2/20

February 18th, 2010

Dear ODS Members,

The awards are here!  Congratulations to the winners of 451 – 60% + USEF/USDF/ODS Licensed Show rider awards plates and 338 – 60% + ODS League Show rider awards plates.

This coming Saturday, the 20th of February we are going to try to get the ODS Awards out in the mail.  In order to do so, I need to get a group of volunteers together to assist me.  If you are available and can come to the ODS Office to help stuff and organize envelopes, please respond to me directly.   Ideally we would begin the project around 10 AM and hopefully be done by 1 PM.  The ODS office is in my home in NE Hillsboro.  If you are available to help, please send me an e-mail and I will reply with directions!

Thank you in advance.

Warmest Regards,

Office Seeking Help with Gift Baskets for National Convention

November 16th, 2009

Dear Members,

It is almost the time of year to set up our annual “All Things Oregon” basket that we donate to the USDF Convention as a Board of Governors Meeting door prize. A second basket will be donated to the USDF Youth Executive Board Auction will repeat the theme of three years ago – “Pretty in Pink”. Our convention delegates are really looking forward to presenting this year’s baskets … both our BOG basket and our youth auction baskets have been popular at Convention for the past several years!

This year, I’m hoping that each chapter send in something for the basket that is unique to your area. General members are also encouraged to contribute with local selections! We are hosting the ODS Banquet and General Membership Meeting THIS WEEKEND, a week prior to the National Convention which makes it easy for you to hand deliver contributions.

Things that we have included in years past “All things Oregon” basket include Wine, Jelly/Jams, Pink Martini CDs, Oregon Ducks/ OSU Beavers merchandise, handmade candles, calendars, “Pony Oaties” horse treats, etc. In the past, the youth basket had brushes, socks, Christmas ornaments, a bit, gloves, saddle pads, hand beaded browbands and other fun horsey items that were primarily pink in color.

Our office has to get our basket items shipped to the convention, so please no bulky or overly heavy items.

What do you think you can send from your area?

Warmest Regards,
Corinne Stonier
