Volunteers needed for the ODS Vendor Booth during Championships

September 1st, 2010

Dear ODS Members,

Our office is seeking several volunteers to host the ODS Vendor Booth during the Championship Show, which will be held at DevonWood in Sherwood, OR on September 10th, 11th and 12th.   The ODS Vendor Booth will have clothing and a few other items for sale.  It is also an information hub where participants and visitors come for information about ODS membership, programs and opportunities.  Because of this, we try to pair up veteran and new members in shifts and people who like to talk about dressage with others – so even if you are brand new to ODS, we welcome your help!

If you are available during the ODS Championships, please let me know your availability -

ð       Friday: 12:30 PM – 5 PM (2 people please)

Calling all volunteers – the ODS Championships needs you!

August 26th, 2010

Hello ODS –

We need your help! Our ODS Open & Championships Shows are just a few weeks away (Sept 10th-12th, DevonWood Eq. Centre), and we have many volunteer vacancies to fill.

Your support has been amazing in past years, and it has made this show what it is. We anticipate using at least three competition rings, with the possibility of a fourth ring for part of the show.  Your help is critical to continue the tradition of a quality championship event.

We have vacancies in all positions for all three days, including scribe, gate, warm-up steward, scorer, runner (must have OR Drivers License), and more.  There are opportunities to assist with parking and “checking in” if you are available on Thursday September 9th.

If you are available to dedicate even just a few hours, we would LOVE to hear from you.

Competitors, we fully understand that you cannot commit to helping  until your ride times are received.  We’re happy to schedule around your commitments.  If you could respond with your intent to volunteer, we’ll follow up with you after ride times are known, or at the show.

Please contact John Craven at John_Craven@ous.edu, or 541-602-4400.

Each of our volunteers will receive a nice thank-you gift for their time. Come enjoy the show if you can – we would so appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance, we hope to hear from you.

Equestrians Institute is seeking volunteers for their shows in the Seattle area this weekend

June 8th, 2010

The Chablis/Beaujolais is E.I.’s largest dressage show of the year. It is two weeks away and the hard-working Dressage Show Committee is gearing up to make it a fun, well-run, and organized show. We need your help!

We still need volunteers to be ring stewards, equipment checkers and runners on all three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday: June 18, 19 and 20).  Donating just two hours of your time makes a huge difference and contributes to one of our biggest, most important missions as a non-profit: offering quality shows to the Northwest Dressage community.

For more information please visit the volunteer page on the E.I. website (http://www.equestriansinstitute.org/wroot09/volunteers/vsignup.html) or contact Colleen Jones at ei-volunteer@equestriansinstitute.org or (425) 269-9832.

Thank you!
