The ODS Education Committee is the standing committee in charge of all ODS Educational Programs including providing coordination, leadership and oversight for programs offered by the ODS Owned Competitions Committee, the ODS Sporthorse Committee, the ODS Youth Committee or any other ODS Committees offering an educational program.

As a matter of policy, ODS supports educational activities sponsored by USDF/USEF and assists in the implementation.

Any ODS member in good standing may suggest educational activity to be sponsored by ODS.

The Education Committee will consider ideas taking into consideration the needs and desires of the membership and make recommendations to the Board of Directors. Recommendations will include cost analysis. In general educational activities may be fee based and structured to be at least cost neutral. Final decisions will be on the determined by majority vote of the Board of Directors.

The Education Committee shall review applications for the Connie J Keith Adult Amateur Camps and make recommendations to the Board of Directors. Approval of will be by majority vote of the Board of Directors at the fall board meeting.

From this committee, chairs or ad-hoc sub-committees may be appointed to work independently for specific educational tasks such as, but not limited to:

• Hosting the USDF "L" Education or Instructor/Trainer Programs
• Selecting Demo Horses and Riders for Educational Programs
• Selecting Educational Materials offered to ODS members as a fundraiser
